When will my child be ready?

Children's development varies but those who enjoy mess will be happy to start painting at an early age! It is worth having some experimental painting sessions by the age of two years.

Depending on your child's age and level there are a variety of classes to choose from, however the age range below is meant only as a guide. The classes are enjoyed by all ages and you will be advised on which class would be most suited to your child.

30 minute starter class
(18 months - 2½ years)

A creative play session providing an introduction to art and craft by exploring colours, textures and shapes in a fun and interesting way assisted by parents/carers. Usually it is best to start with this shorter class and move up once your child is ready.

45 min class
(2 - 3 years)

This class offers the opportunity to develop on the skills learned in our starter class. Still explorative based, this session helps to develop concentration and to enjoy sharing and taking turns. Although it is not about the finished product, but the process, sometimes you will be pleasantly surprised by your child’s creativity and the out come. Often you will have a masterpiece you will keep forever or maybe want to give away as a gift for a loved one!

1 hour class
(2½ - 4 years)

A fun and slightly more structured class offering the opportunity for your child to develop further their concentration, hand and eye co-ordination and listening skills. The class is balanced to give children the opportunity to make their own decisions about the materials they use and beginning to follow simple instructions.
